feedback from a new user perspective

So, I decided to try using ODE for a little project I'm working on. Here are some thoughts:
- I see that I'm logged in, but I have absolutely no idea how to start a new project. As far as I can tell I've clicked on every link. The only instructions I could find said that I had to be an admin.
- Also, the page design is exactly the same as www.redmine.org so when I followed a link to instructions it took me to an entirely different domain and I didn't realize it until I clicked "home" and it took me to Redmine's homepage, not ODE's homepage.

Oh, okay, I found how to make a new project. That is well hidden. It's in plain sight but way off to the right sandwiched between a lot of different things.

I need to be able to get to some sort of instructions from the new project page. Some of it is intuitive, like project title and description. Some of the form elements have links, like the licenses. But what's the difference between "documents" and "files?" If I don't include a project tool now can I add it later? If I include something I end up not needing can I erase it from the project later?

Does "create" make the project and exit the editor while "create and continue" makes the project and refreshes the editor? That's not intuitive.

Anywho, I'm into just building the project now. I'll let you know if there's anything else that creates a barrier to entry.

Hi Matt, thanks for the feedback. Most all of these issues I think are ones we've already been aware of, and are a result of using stock Redmine. I'm working right now on a graphical redesign, which should help with some of these issues, but not all of them (like help being a redirect to redmine.org). I plan on placing each of these as feature requests for ODE so we can be sure to not drop any of them, and that my rephrasing of them still seems to you like it explains the issue. When I'm done, I'll reply back to this post with links to the tickets if you don't mind reviewing. Thanks!
