v1.0 - SEP Step 2 - Requirements Document

I thought I'd get a discussion started on this. The three requirements that I've added are from the original wiki content, and I've tried to match them to the questions that they most likely fall under. Other questions will be pulled from the Initial Questions SEP document.

Q2. Who is this for?

  • Document the engine testing procedure from test stand setup, to running tests, and ending with stowing the test stand.

Q3. How will this be used?

  • Verify that we can measure the Estes motor performance data (thrust vs time for various motors as published here: http://estes.aptinet.com/images/page%2033.pdf)
  • Measure and record exhaust temperature of the Estes motors which means using a computer.

We talked about a few changes for the requirements doc tonight during the hangout, and I made an attempt at integrating them. The following requirements contain the changes I made.

  • STSR 4.6.3
  • STSR 4.8
  • STSR 5.5
  • STSR 5.6

I of course had to renumber the rest of the STSR 5.x series after adding 5.5 and 5.6.

I also added "ADC" to the glossary.

These should be the last additions/changes, so if there are no objections or corrections we should be able to gel the doc in a few days.

I have just completed a final review of the requirements document, and I saw only one small change. I moved the STSR 5.5 and STSR 5.6 to STSR 5.3.1 and STSR 5.3.2 respectively, because they are in fact specific additional measurements, which makes them part of STSR 5.3. Note, I then restored the previous numbering for the remaining requirements under section 5.

If there are no other changes, I approve the current version of the requirements, v47.

As with the block diagram, I would say to gel the requirements within a few days if there are no objections.

There have been no more suggestions for changes to the requirements doc, so I've gelled it and marked the "Finalize Requirements" issue as 100% complete.
