Dev Log Updates

Added by Jeremy Wright over 9 years ago

The News feature of ODE/Redmine doesn't email you when comments are added to a news item. We're using the module (with comments) as a dev log for now, so that's a problem. This forum can be used to alert all users to the fact that a new comment has been added. It's an extra step, but it's the only way we have of doing this right now.

Next entry is at the bottom, which includes a measured sample rate when reading both temperature and thrust.

A new short dev log has been posted. In it I start to deal with mounting the MLX90614 non-contact temperature sensor so that it can measure the casing temperature at the throat of the nozzle.

Latest entry (bottom): https://opendesignengine.net/news/36

Deals with building another temperature sensor for CCSSC since the first sensor ended up going to NewSpace and will be used at the Open Hardware Summit. There were a few small improvements made over the original sensor wiring.

In the latest entry (bottom) I built and glued the temperature sensor housing, and glued the MLX90614 sensor into place. I'm hoping to ship it to our educational partner, CCSSC, tomorrow.

Great work. Can't wait for CCSSC to try it out.
